Continuing Education

This coming year I will be expanding my knowledge and capabilities by attending the Chi Institute (http://www.tcvm.com) in Florida for my acupuncture certification. This process will require 3 trips to Florida for hands on learning, as well as extensive online courses.

Acupuncture can be beneficial to those pets with chronic pain from arthritis, cancer and other conditions. It is one part of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM). The other components of TCVM are: Chinese herbal medicine, tui-na (a form of chiropractic massage and acupressure which uses the same points as acupuncture, but no needles), diet/nutrition, and Qi Gong (a form of energy exercise). Each branch is a specialized area requiring expertise to perform effectively.

I will start my TCVM training with acupuncture, and will investigate adding the other aspects to my practice as appropriate.

If you have any questions regarding acupuncture and your pets, please contact me. I look forward to incorporating this into my practice.
